Hello, my name is Johan du Toit

I’m a London based management consultant, technology lover and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA, CIMA). I’ve focussed predominately on working with our clients in the financial services industry in the past four years. Before joining Capgemini Invent, I worked as a management accountant and financial analyst for ten years across a variety of industries including Market Research, Government (Local Authority), Infrastructure, and Supply Chain.

Outside of “work” I’m a motorcycle enthusiast, a keen snowboarder, and a runner. I love exploring new topics by reading non-fiction books, I find this offers a great way to learn from some of the smartest people on a wide variety of topics such as teamwork, leadership, personal finance, leading technology trends, property investing, personal branding and where this crazy thing called life is taking us. (see my reading list here) I’m actively looking for opportunities to mentor or become otherwise involved with start-ups or small-to-medium-sized (SME) organisations.

Management Consultant

I work in the Insight-Driven Business Innovation team at Capgemini Invent where we focuss on leveraging the power of your data and automation to drive better decision making and innovation in your organisation.

Chartered Accountant

I'm a Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA, CGMA), in my 'life before consulting' I was a management accountant and financial analyst for 10 years in the UK and South Africa.

Motorcycling Enthusiast

I've been an avid motorcyclist since I was 17 and have loved riding with my dad, my uncle and with friends around the world. Currently, I ride a scooter around London, one day it'll grow up...

Avid Snowboarder

Since my first snowboard trip* I was hooked on the euphoria of the views, the sport and the après-ski. I've even done heli-boarding in New Zealand with friends! (*actually from my 2nd trip)

Data Visualisation

We are creating a staggering amount of 'data' each day and executives are literally drowning in 'data'. I believe you need ways to create simple to understand, actionable insights from the 'data' allowing you and your organisation to take full advantage of the rich information you already have.

Start-ups / SMEs

I love the idea behind start-ups, to take an idea and turn it into reality, and SMEs providing an essential service to and employ the local community.

I've personally invested in a number of "young companies" and would love to get involved further by providing mentorship or to join the board.
